THIS COURSE The development of Hatha yoga over the centuries reflects philosophical, practical, and spiritual teachings. The following program includes sections which cover these ancient teachings, including Meditation (types of meditation and practice), Pranayama (techniques and effects), and Subtle Energy. (Prana Vayus, Koshas, Sheaths, and Nadi's). REQUIRED READING I recommend these reading for all participants, but are only required if you are counting them towards your 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training. This program includes reading assignments, quizzes, videos, written assignments for YTT and Continuing Education students. The REQUIRED books in this program for YTT are: Teaching Yoga: Essential Foundations and Techniques - by Mark Stephens The Heart of Yoga - by TKV Desikachar The Anatomy of Yoga - by Leslie Kaminoff COMPLETION ASSIGNMENTS FOR 200 HOUR YTT and CE (1&2 below) CERTIFICATION ONLY If you are planning on using this course towards your 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, then the following will be required: 1. Once you have complete all 4 Courses ("What is Yoga, Spiritual Practice, Begin Your Spiritual Practice and The Chakras") please note there will be 1 more Course Required to get your certification. 2. Students are asked to attend at least 10 yoga classes of various types, and submit a Yoga Class Evaluation Form provided in the Course Template Section. 3. A project designed by the student in an area of their interest. Approval by the instructor for this project is necessary. 4. An hour long yoga class routine, developed by the student and performed via Zoom for the instructor. This will prepare the student for beginning their teaching journey.
